The Cascades – Mount Baker
Now that we have our Canadian passports, popping over the border to the USofA is a lot more appealing and quicker than before. Mount Baker Recreation Area is only a couple of hours from Vancouver and so is a tempting option, given that we often see glacier-covered Mount Baker from downtown on a clear day.
Canadian Rockies
Summer holiday time rolled around and we decided to head off to the Canadian Rockies for a week of camping and hiking, with the main event being to heading into Lake O’Hara for a few days. We set off from Vancouver on Saturday morning, clutching our new Canadian Citizen Access Passes that promised to give us free access to all of Canada’s National Parks.
Gabs and the Okavango Delta
I had a great work visit to our (fairly) new Hatfield Consultants Africa office in Gaborone, Botswana. From the Vancouver “summer” to the southern African winter, I thought I had packed enough warm clothes. I was wrong, but no complaints about the amount of sunshine and the opportunity for an awesome trip to the Okavango Delta.
